Carter Cordes was selected as the 2020 scholarship recipient. Bio and artwork follows:

My name is Carter Cordes, and I am a 17-year-old artist living in Austin, Texas. I’ve been making art my whole life. I plan to attend the University of North Texas and will be majoring in Studio Arts. My primary medium is oil paint, but I also enjoy graphite and several other mediums. I am inspired by Baroque and Renaissance art. I am passionate about creating compelling pieces that express ideas that are meaningful to me.
