The Austin Pastel Society would like to welcome you to consider joining. We have a 30-year history
and enjoy membership in the International Association of Pastel Societies (IAPS).
Many of our 68 members have reached acclaim and give generously of their time to share their
encouragement and insights. Our total focus is to encourage and support our
member artists on their personal artistic journeys. Whether you prefer studio or en plein air
and whether you embrace impressionism, realism, abstraction, or a combination of all styles,
our Society just may be a good home for you.

Our APS Reimagined Campaign is focused on drawing more attention to how special our Society is.
Online presence is very important these days and our APS website is designed to be as
informative as possible in order to encourage new members to join but, primarily, it serves as
our “communications hub” in support of all of our activity. Membership also includes our monthly
newsletter "Pastelist". It is designed to promote our achievements as artists, APS activities and
foster the love of our medium. We also have a Group Facebook Page and an Instagram account.

Please go to our Events Page and Calendar at a Glance and be our guest at one of our events.
I promise you will meet some incredible artists who will welcome you with open arms.
Our new member orientations are held twice a year. If you have any questions,
please feel free to reach out to us at our Contact page.

plein air events each year. Texas is home to some beautiful
